CWI Logistics is happy to announce the acquisition of Outsource Logistics Inc. in Jacksonville. The building’s unique size and location will allow us to offer a number of expanded warehousing and distribution services.
Located half of a mile off of I-95, the newest CWI warehouse is only three miles away from Jacksonville International Airport and five miles away from two Jacksonville ports (Blount Island and Talleyrand). And with 1,500,000 square feet of warehouse space, it’s the largest contiguous space available in Florida. With so much room, we’re able to offer a number of value-added services such as kitting and return management –including repackaging.
In addition to its enormous size, the new warehouse is also located in a Foreign Trade Zone, which adds another unique set of advantages. FTZ benefits include improved cash flow, streamlined customs clearance, lower inventory costs and reduced or eliminated state and local inventory taxes.
While we were there, we also had the opportunity to attend a Jacksonville Roundtable held by the Council for Supply Chain Management Professionals. As one of the event sponsors, we were especially thrilled that this networking event took place on a boat cruise down the historic St. Johns River. In addition to being a great opportunity to meet with our peers in the supply chain industry, we also learned a great deal about Jacksonville’s ports and waterways, which are now of even greater importance to our company.
